Isn't this sunshine just delicious? The heat is amazing! The only down side is it's far too warm to have a face full of cosmetics. I've been enjoying looking and trying very natural looking, multi use and light wearing products to try and look pretty in the sun. I have completely avoided all of my black mascaras and eye brow pencils as I feel that those types of products sit really heavy on me and they always seem to smudge or run when the temperature gets turned up. That's where this Lovely little MUA mascara comes in.

I picked up this mascara from Superdrug for just £1.00 and have used it every day in the heat as a mascara and brow tidy. For me its more of a placebo as a mascara, it makes you feel like you aren't bare faced but gives that naked appearance, it doesn't do much to lashes (other than neaten and maybe thicken a little?) but it really excels as a brow tidy. If you have thick and un-ruely eyebrows you NEED this mascara. It keeps brows in place all day long. It looks completely transparent so its extremely natural looking. Ideal for the beach or pool where you don't want black or brown smudges on your face.

To summarise, Very in expensive, dual purpose, great on brows. A summer must.

Have you been looking for sun proof cosmetics?

Much Love

This has been my staple hair care product for YEARS now and it has never failed me yet.

As you can see the squirty bottle is very nicely designed. The pump distributes the product thoroughly. The instructions are clear and easy to read, and the list of ingredients is just magical. I'm not exaggerating, who ever made this formula hit the jackpot as it really does smell amazing. What's more, the smell actually clings to your hair so as you swish it you and those around you get to smell the lovely fragrance.

I'll always remember the night of my first date with my boyfriend and how terribly un-organised I was. I left myself 30 minutes to shower, change, brush my teeth, make up and do all the other pre first date things us women do, only on stepping into his car, I remembered I had completely forgot to put on any deodorant or perfume. Me personally, I was instantly concious of it and was really relieved when he said I smelled nice and asked what had I put in my hair. I don't know why I shared that useless piece of personal information BUT is suppose it shows that If you do have a first date or want to smell nice in a hurry, this is what you need.

Aside from the fragrance, This product works wonders. I spray liberal amounts into my bleached- straw like- thick hair and it really transforms my locks. The ends feel softer and less brittle, my hair always has a shine to it and I find my hair has a lot more strength after prolonged use. It works brilliantly as a detangler and really reduces snagging. I used to have really long hair and I always used this product so In my quest to grow my hair after my countless cuts and colours this is my go to product, (This and Moroccanoil). It doesn't weigh down your hair and there is no worry about Aussie making your hair feel greasy.

Aussie Miracle is retailing in Boots at the minute for £4.49, so Its great value for money. If you buy in boots too, They usually have a special offer on for 3 for 2 and If you have an advantage card you can collect points too.

Anyone else love this? Or have an alternate must have fave leave in conditioner?

Much Love
Amy
Today's post is about my ELF lipsticks. I'm not going to ramble on forever about them because they don't really need me to. To put it quite simply: Great lipsticks that have good longevity, nice range of colours, all very matte with a slight shine and feel moisturising. To top that off the cost just £1.50 each.

I've been so busy lately I feel like I have barely had time to breathe. I finally have keys to our first family home and things are well under way, we are having a new kitchen fitted, walls removed, garden landscaped. We need to do pretty much everything you can think of to get the house to look and feel like a home, our home. To add an extra job to the HUGE to do list I have my beautiful little boy has had a little growth spurt too, he no longer fits in his 6-9 month clothes so I have had to go out and buy him a new wardrobe. (Yes, he is just over 6 months but I'm 5 Foot 9 and a half and his daddy is easily 6 foot 3 so he is going to be a tall boy!). Anyway, less of the rambling, I do tend to do that a lot and sometimes forget to get to the point so here goes....

My vitamins is a really amazing supplement brand that launched in the summer of 2012. They offer a simplistic approach to buying vitamins and minerals on line. The brand have really spent time with their website and the on line store is very easy to navigate, pleasing to the eye and the facts and details about each individual product are clear and easy to read. There's a really wide range of products too so something for every one.

For me, beauty isn't just hair, skin, nails, but it's a good place to start. When you think about all of the products and elements we abuse our selves with, nail varnish, acetone, acrylics, hairspray, dye, straighteners, blow dryers, make up, pollution, dust, dirt, it's easy to understand why we can sometimes look and feel like we have endured a little wear and tear. I feel that it's really important to have good foundations to work with. If we are healthy and strong on the inside it reflects on the outside. Why not give our hair, skin and nails a little extra support and care?

When I read the description of True Woman Hair Skin and Nails I new I needed to see if the product lived up to its expectations. My Vitamins notes that "True Woman Hair, Skin Nails is a definitive blend of ingredients crafted to support the body with fundamental nutrients to benefit the health of hair, skin and nails. This unique formula incorporates vitamins, minerals and other crucial nutrients that contribute towards everyday health. True Woman Hair, Skin and Nails is a great choice for women who want to maintain a healthy appearance. True Woman Hair, Skin & Nails also contains mixed Carotenoids, which has been known to help enhance tanned skin." Sounds like my kinda vitamin.

When The Supplement arrived I was really happy with the packaging, I liked that it wasn't in a medication like tablet box. The foil packet makes it feel more like a health food, foiled of freshness. The packet is resealable and very easy to store. Unfortunately for me, the tablets were a tad on the chunky side, of all of the tablets I have taken during my 24 years, these were the most difficult to swallow. If you are willing to set that aside and want to take a supplement then these are worth it.

I compared the ingredients list to that of a another brand and they are almost identical, the only difference is you don't have the huge price tag that accompanies the competition. (Yes Perfectil, I mean you, You and your £19.99 price tag in boots for just 28!). My Vitamins retail their product at just £4.99 for 30. It certainly makes me wonder if we sometimes pay for a brand name and nothing else?
I've used True Woman now for around three weeks. My hair looks glossier and my complexion has cleared. This may just be a coincidence as I have been taking more care of those two lately but, there is no mistaking the improvement to my nails. I usually find I get pesky little white spots under my nail if I give them a little knock or bang, I haven't noticed a single imperfection (apart from those I already had) and I'd usually expect new white spots where the old have grown out, so they have undoubtedly helped strengthen my nails. I do find that my nails chip and peel less too.
Hope you are enjoying the sun! It feels like such a long time since we have had weather worthy of calling Summer. I'm really loving the warmth but my little one is having a hard time of it. Its just too hot and clammy for babies and he doesn't know where he wants to be. I've got him lathered in factor 50 and stripped to a baby grow. If it stays sunny for the next few days, I'm going to buy a paddling pool for him, try and let him get some pleasure from the sun.

I think its really important to pay attention to SPF in the sun and to always wear protection. It can be so easy to burn and peel and really there is no reason at all we should put ourselves through the pain and hassle. One place that I can easily forget about and neglect in the sun is my lips. I noticed that I had a tube of Simple's new Kind To Lips Essential Lip Balm. I don't know how I came by this product, Not sure If it was something I bought or If it was a sample; I just can't remember to be honest. I'm not sure of the exact retail price but these are going on sale in ASDA, Tesco, Boots and Superdrug.

The Packaging is really quite nice, Its fresh and clean. I love the combination of white and greens as the white feels clean and green has a natural leafy feeling to it. Simple's packaging has always been one of my drug store favourites as far as skin care is concerned. The instructions and ingredients are clear and easy to read.

This Lip Balm isn't the best that I've ever used. I loved Figs and Rouge Rambling Rose Balm, but having said that, it's the best lip balm I've used in warm weather. It feels nice and moisturising, helping lips feel smooth. The formula is nice so its creamy but not tacky enough to run with heat. It has good longevity, lips feel nice and comfortable for hours. Its ideal for lips that have already dried too, as it helps restore your pout back to its former kissable glory, whilst preventing further damage with the SPF 15.

The casing is very functional and the balm feels secure. Nothing worse than applying a tad pressure to a balm and it snapping off. There is a adequate amount of product tucked away in the tube and as you only seem to use the tiniest slick to do the job, Its going to last a long time. I've found It even helps lip stick stay in place better when used as a base.

To summarize: A really great lipstick that has a space in every handbag. Universal so could be used by all the family. Only down side is I'm yet to see this product in my local shops. I'm going to the metro centre tomorrow (Well today to you lot, this post is scheduled a day in advance), so hopefully I will see it on shelves there. If not and you do want to try this keep an eye on the Simple website for updates.

What do you use to protect your lips in the sun? Do you use a high or low SPF?

Much Love
Amy
I feel like I have been really neglecting you guys, I tried to schedule a few posts but didn't get to do as many as I'd like and unfortunately my life is rather hectic at the moment (This next little chunk is a ramble of why I'm so busy!). When I found out I was pregnant with my little boy, it was a HUGE shock. I was told it would be almost impossible for me to conceive without fertility treatment, so as you can imagine being in a warm trusting relationship, contraception was the least of my worries. After a trip to the doctors (Where I expected to be told I'd need an operation on my ovaries) I was told I was pregnant. I was so shocked, excited and amazed that it was actually happening to me. As much as we all wanted my baby, If we'd have known, we would have planned a little ahead. At the minute I still live at home with family with my baby and my better half lives at home with his family too. Its really nice having support from my family but we do now need our own space as our own new family. Now this is where my time is currently going, After spending unreal amounts of time looking for the perfect home we have finally found it. So now I'm arranging what work needs doing, decor, appliances and so on. So if I'm a little slower with posts, I do apologise! I still love you all and adore writing.

I've been eyeing up the infamous Convertible Colours by Stila for quite some time, but always spent too much time um-ing and ah-ing over which shade to buy. That is, until a couple of weeks ago when I heard about their trio palettes and just knew that I had to own one. There are two palettes available, 'Cool' and 'Warm', each consisting of three shades - two classic favourites and one exclusive, limited edition shade. Perfect for an indecisive girl like me! After a little to-ing and fro-ing between which palette to buy, I settled with Warm.
All of the colours would work really well with all skin tones. My skin is looking slightly warmer this summer so this palette is just perfect for me. Although I do prefer Gerbera Myself! The palette is dual purpose and although the colours work exceptionally well on the lip, Its as a blusher where they really excel. The formula is very creamy and glossy and it's really well pigmented. You can wear it for a sheer and natural look or really build up a strong colour if you so desire. The product applies like a dream. It looks really pretty applied using fingers or I use my Real Techniques Lip or Stippling Brushes to achieve a perfectly polished look.
The Packaging is nice too. The purple box is amazingly pretty and i can't bring myself to discard it so i keep my palette safe in that. the palette is cased in nice shiny black plastic and the set has a mirror to which is incredibly handy. The products smell really nice and the products last for a decent amount of time on the skin. once applied the blush lasts all day, the lips do need a touch up though as to be expected.
I'm now exceptionally tempted to purchase the cool palette too. The palettes are a steal at the price of £23.00, especially considering you receive three shades and a single Stila shade costs £16.00. I bought mine from Feel Unique. To summarise, really pretty colours, wearable, versatile and great value for money. If you need a new blush or are after a new lip product, I'd highly recommend that you give one of these palettes a try, you wont be disappointed. Do you love Stila products? I've had this Model Co Fibre Lashxtend mascara for quite some time now, If I remember rightly it was a Christmas gift but until recently, I barely used it. It was only when a magazine gave a free sample of it and a few blog reviews appeared that I decided to get mine out of hibernation and get some pleasure from it.

I can't deny that this is a good mascara, It does apply really well and doesn't go clumpy. It gives the appearance of longer fuller lashes. Its water resistant yet removes easily. The colour is nice, it suits all eye colours. The consistency and the formula are perfect. It's just so darn costly. Give me this mascara for under £20.00 and it would be my new favourite.

I really cannot justify paying £28.00 for a mascara, even the mascaras that claim to be miracle workers. There is no way on earth that a mascara can literally lengthen or add volume to lashes, its just an illusion. For me in order for me to pay over the odds for a mascara, it has to have a really brilliant brush (that reaches all lashes even those little weeny ones in the corners), it must be a good formula that doesn't clump yet is thick enough to look full, it has to have a decent life span, have a pretty packet. The closest I've found that ticks all of those boxes is benefits they're real. and that's at a snip of the price compared to this.

The only saving grace for Model Co is they have a really handy little mirror on the side of the tube which helps application on the go. I will be using this mascara up, if I go to a festival or on a night out it will be my go to product. Just simply because of the mirror. I wouldn't complain if I received it as a gift again, but wont be saving pennies for it.

How much is your limit for a mascara? Do you use Model Co products? Which ones?

Today I'm sharing my most used lipstick (in the past few weeks). Its Calvin Klein's Delicious Truth in the shade Retro. I recently made a few purchases at Fragrance Direct this being one of them. I'd never tried anything from the Calvin Klein range before and when I noticed this reduced from £15.00 to £1.99 I couldn't resist it.

I must admit that the packaging is less than impressive, plain black, dull and boring. Even more shocking the lipstick didn't have it's own box. I know this lipstick was reduced and in the sale but when If I was spending above £10.00 on a Lipstick I'd expect a box (If you don't know already, I love boxes and packaging!!).

The lipstick isn't what I expected at all. It is rather opaque and shiny with just a hint of colour. I do normally prefer a matte colour but that aside, its a very nice natural day to day colour. The image of the colour on the website is VERY misleading, Its more of a bubblegum candy pink than the deep pink I was expecting. There are a few other shades available on the website.

The longevity of this lipstick is quite fair, it lasts an hour or so but after that touch ups are needed to keep that shiny lipstick look. Its an ideal pop in your handbag lipstick for day to day use. My niece (who is still in school) really loves this as its so subtle she can wear it in class. I'd say I'd buy from Calvin Klein in the future although I'd be really reluctant to buy on line without knowing the product or trying a sample. I'm not sure if it was an error by Fragrance direct or Calvin Klein but the description of this lipstick just didn't match the product.

Anyone else found the descriptions a little flawed? Or fell in love with this lipstick?

Much Love
Amy

Today's post is about ELF HD Blush in Showstopper. I had a little spare cash floating around in a paypal account and decided to buy myself some new make up, I wanted to try something that I wouldn't normally go for and this really caught my eye. I do absolutely adore blush but always seem to go for palettes, powders or creams so this squirty bottle was something a little new to me. I'd never normally buy plum colour blushes, I'm very much a coral or pink girl but I do feel that sometimes I miss out of discovering some fantastic products for fear of the unknown. The colour doesn't look as Harsh once its been blended properly although it is still a really strong well pigmented colour. I would like to try more colours from the range, because as much as I do love this I feel it would suit my skin tone better in winter months. It does look more of a deep plum pink on the skin.

The Blush isn't the easiest of blushes to use. The tiniest amount goes a LONG way. If you do buy this use the smallest amount you can and build it up to get the desired effect that you want, otherwise that blob is really going to make you look clown like. I did squirt this onto the palm of my hand and use my Real Techniques Stippling brush and after a little practice I managed to get this to sit and look perfect and flawless. The product is very fluid and personally I feel it adds a little stain to the cheek. Its best to be quick with this Blush. I'm not so sure where the HD comes into it in my opinion Bourjois cream blushes photograph and wear better.

The packaging is really quite nice. Its plain and sophisticated. Its great that you can see the colour of the product through the casing. The pump works brilliantly and its easy to choose how much or little you want to dispense. This blush cost me £3.75 for 10 ml. It Isn't as cheap as some other blushes made by ELF but I think they have the pricing just right. I wouldn't pay any more for this as as its fiddly to apply but I feel that once its on, it deserves its price tag. Maybe a tweak in formula to make this a little creamier would be the answer. Overall a good cheap cream blush, good pigmented colour but a little monster to apply.

Anyone else got this blush? or a HD blush? What do you think?

Much Love
After placing a naughty little order from Fragrance Direct I was excited when this lovely bottle of Essie Nail polish dropped through my letter box. I've never used an Essie nail polish before (shock horror!) quite simply because there were no local retailers I was aware of without travelling all the way to the Metro Centre. When I spotted the varnish on the website I couldn't help but add it to my basket. To the best of my knowledge Essie polishes normally retail at around £7.99 so this was just a snip at £1.99. I chose the shade Tour De Finance as I really love pink nails. A touch of pink and i feel so incredibly girly and ready to take on the summer sun. I really like the Essie brand and will purchase more from them BUT I must say, I will remain loyal to Barry M as its cheaper and equal in quality, unless there is a alternate shade I really want. The wider applicator brush is great too.
I do think the colour would look gorgeous with nice neat long nails. Unfortunately I'm continually snipping and filing my nails so I don't snag them and scratch my little boy. So they don't look at feminine as I would like. Never Mind. The flash of Pink is all I need to add a touch of Glam.

I hope you like this shade as much as me. What are your fave nail shades? How many Essie Varnishes do you own?

Much Love
Baby Bath Borrows. Hey there. There's no denying we all strive for fresh looking, young skin. If you think of who in the world has the most perfect skin, it's got to be a babies hasn't it? So why not take heed from our little loved ones and lend their bath time basics? I use so many of my little boys products for my own vanity purposes and I always feel like I'm using something pure and gentle when I use something of his. Manufacturers of baby products must have spent millions on designing perfect products for the most sensitive skins. What's even more satisfying than knowing I'm using something gentle is the cost. Baby products these days are so very inexpensive these days and they could really give some premium high end beauty products a run for their money. All of the products I've featured retail at around £2.00 and they are available pretty much anywhere! I buy my baby basics from Boots as I collect points so I can buy myself a little something nice now and again.

Johnson's Cotton Buds:

I absolutely adore these buds. They are really versatile, If ever I have a little imperfection with my Make-Up I use a little bud dipped in remover and I can clean up the error with precision. I enjoy painting my nails but unfortunately I'm not blessed with the steadiest of hands so again a little nail varnish soaked on the end of a bud and it works like the eraser on the end of a pencil.

Baby Oil:

Baby Oil comes in really handy for removing false eyelashes. A little bit on the end of a cotton bud and a few rubs and viola! removal without pulling out pretty lashes. A few drops of baby oil in your bath or massaged onto the body works wonders for dry skin. It can be used to aid tanning to but personally I feel that it should be avoided and we should always use a sun screen or something with SPF designed to enhance tan. Burnt red skin never looks good.

Johnson's Baby Powder:

This is one of the products i don't tend to use as often BUT it still has its place. If I run out of dry shampoo and don't have time for a wash I massage the tiniest bit through my roots and ends and my hair looks a lot cleaner. I use the powder after a bath or swimming too, It always makes clothes or pyjamas feel soo much better and you can't beat the smell of talcum powder.

Johnson's Baby Shampoo:

My most used baby borrow. I'm guessing if you are taking time to read my beauty blog you wear make up right? So that means you'll use make up brushes to apply lovely goodies? Well that means you need Baby Shampoo in your life. Its really important to wash your brushes/ sponges and keep everything sanitised and hygienic so that you not only get best results but prevent infection too. I have tried a million and one brush cleaners and I feel baby shampoo achieves the deepest most gentle clean. I really like MAC's brush cleaner but it is a lot more expensive and when you need to clean on a regular basis and you have a lot of brushes it works out a dear do. The shampoo leaves my Real Techniques brushes feeling like brand new.

Pampers Baby Wipes:

I know how important skincare routine is but as a new mummy I don't always get time to adhere to routine as much as I'd like. So If I don't have time to remove all of my make up, cleanse, tone and moisturise, I use a baby wipe for a quick freshen up and to remove any grime. The wipes hold their moisture too so they last a long time. They are very gentle so even the most sensitive of skins can use wipes. I have a horse and when I do have time to go out riding, some of the tracks and routes I use can be very dusty so when I return from my ride, Its nice to give my face and neck a quick once over to feel clean and free from pore clogging dust. ERGH!

Do you have any products that you use for a different purpose? Or have any Baby goodies you use?

Much Love

Hope you have had a lovely weekend! I want to introduce you all to my newest little addition to my skincare routine and oh what a shooting star it is. I requested a moisturiser trial from Garnier a little while ago and they sent me three different samples from the Moisture Match range. There are five different combinations so ideally I feel they should have sent a trial of them all to ensure I had all the combinations to tailor the products to my skin type. That said, It was really easy for me to decide which moisturiser would be best for me. The range includes Protect and Glow, Start Afresh, Goodbye Dry, Wake Me Up ans Shine Be Gone. There was no doubt about it I'd need Goodbye Dry. I was going to wait for my current moisturiser to run out and then purchase the Garnier but I quite simply couldn't wait when I noticed the amazing offer in ASDA whereby these moisturisers were just £3.00 Yes, you read that right. What a bargain.

First of all isn't this packaging just the sweetest? It's very girly yet fresh looking. I love that the moisturiser comes in a little box too, I don't know why but I do have somewhat of a love affair with pretty packages in boxes. The instructions are clear and simple and easy to read.
Secondly wow! This Moisturiser is just the best. I don't even know where to start. From the first application my skin felt so very hydrated, It simply drank this product. It absorbed into my skin very quickly. Brilliant if you are in a rush. I do tend to find I'm prone areas of skin that can be exceptionally dry and my make up and other cosmetics never really sit well where my skins imperfections stamp their feet. I say stamp their feet because I have tried scrubs, moisturisers and everything in between to try and tackle these problem areas but nothing that doesn't break the bank has ever really worked (Yes SK-II, I would have loved to have repurchased you but you are just too darn costly!) This moisturiser has literally balanced my skin. To look at now, anyone would think I have normal skin with a really healthy glow.

The consistency of the cream is just beautiful. It didn't feel gloopy or greasy. It is very rich so just a small amount goes a long way. The cream smells very pleasant too. I have noticed a really big improvement to the texture of my skin, it's less flaky, less patchy and I have barely had an imperfection since using this moisturiser. I don't know about you but I do tend to find my sensitive skin can flare up when I alter my skincare routine so it was nice to use a product that is so gentle, my skin didn't notice a change only improvement.

I simply cannot rave about these moisturisers enough. Brilliant value for money even at full retail price (Still under £10.00). They all appear to do exactly what they were designed to do. There are a million and one moisturisers out there on the market but if you want one to work, use Moisture Match. The easiest way to achieve the desired finish you want for your skin.

Having a six month old can be very tiring and sometimes sleep just doesn't happen. A mixture of these two can leave your skin feeling rather undesirable. I think all new mums (and mums who have been mums for quite a while) always want to look at there best and like they have had a good nights sleep (even if they haven't). I need something to "Wake Me Up" and say bye bye to tiredness.

I've been a blog reader for quite some time now and although I do occasionally jump on the "hype" bandwagon, when this product started popping up all over, left right and centre on every blog page going, It didn't appeal to me. Its only since becoming a mummy that It's started to gain my interest. I have followed the lovely Kayleigh at her Couture Girl blog since she started it, I really love some of the products Kayleigh features and after whilst searching for a miracle product I noticed this foundation popping up on her blog quite a lot I decided to give it a try! Thanks for the posts Kayleigh keep up the good work!

The Packaging is really nice. I love the bright acid orange cap. It makes it so easy to find this foundation when your rummaging around in your make up bag. The instructions and information are clear, well written and easy to follow. As far as appearance goes, this drug store foundation is a winner. No one can accuse this of being boring.

This Foundation is really very versatile. No matter what skin type you have, it seems to adapt to give you good coverage and it really hides problem areas. My mum uses this foundation now too and no matter what age you are it just seems to work. It doesn't sit in any lines, it blends really well (I use fingers or my Real Techniques Brushes).

My normal Foundation is Chanel and as much as I love it, I prefer the consistency of Rimmel. It isn't as runny or liquid so it is easier to apply. It feels more like a face cream than a foundation. Rimmel have really got the formula right as its not heavy or "cakey" either. The Foundation is build-able so no matter what type of coverage you want, you can achieve those results.

This foundation does contain a slight shimmer but it is barely noticeable, the little hint of shimmer simply makes you look more freshened. It's a really dewy foundation and it brightens up your face without leaving you concious of feeling like a disco ball. The foundation sits on the skin really well and doesn't look patch or uneven. When the foundation is applied flaws are barely visible, so if like me you suffer from the occasional blemish, or like my mum who has rosea, this will hide everything. Team it with a good primer, good concealer and even the most problem of skins will look perfected. Hd photograph ready.

The product has really good staying power, even after a long day of running around doing the shopping, washing, bottles, hoovering, mopping, cooking, cleaning and having my six month old spit his broccoli at me and, I still maintain a bit of glam.

A yummy mummy essential, and if like Kate Moss you like to party, its perfect for you too, and your nan.

Anyone else use this? What do you think?

Much Love

I really love Barry M, I think its a really affordable brand they have a nice wide choice of products and colours. In the past I have mainly stuck to using Barry M nail varnishes, Check out my summer shades post here), but I decided to branch out and try a lipstick for a change.

TMPL Really caught my eye. On first inspection I was a little puzzled, surely nobody wears green on their lips right? I know Jennifer Lopez has gone all yellow on us all but she's Jennifer Lopez. TMLP or Turn My Lips Pink does exactly what it says on the casing. In the Casing the lipstick is a really bright slime green colour, It reacts with the PH level in your lips and turns the correct shade of pink for whoever uses it. Its personalised lip stick, what's not to love?

I've swatched the lipstick on my hand (I know that's not ideal but I really couldn't get the product to stand out on my lips to photograph, the images just didn't do the product justice), For me this lipstick turns a pale pink colour just ever so slightly darker than my own natural pout colour. I'm happy that it looks natural as I have LOTS of lip products that completely change the appearance of my lips whereas this seems to accentuate them.

The lipstick is really easy to apply, It doesn't go "cakey" and smells quite nice too. Its very moisturising and doesn't dry your lips out. Barry M say that the product lasts 6 hours and I agree with the longevity provided there' no food or drink involved. I picked up TMLP from Boots and it cost £4.49, so It's fairly priced.

If you want a change from standard lip products, give it a go!

What shade did you get? Do you like the unknown?

Much Love

Hello, Hope you are well and life is treating you nicely. When I first started writing my blog, I wanted to include fashion and lifestyle posts too, just so that you lovely lot get to know me as a person. I do have a few big events to attend so I have OOTD and Haul posts planned. I thought that in the mean time, I'd share something quite personal with you. My hair timeline. I have always been quite experimental with my hair, I suppose I've used my locks as a way of expression.

So this is where my journey began....

As a little girl I always had shoulder length naturally curly, ringlet hair. As a little girl I suppose it was quite cute but as I grew older and started junior school, my hair made me feel baby-ish and I wanted it to be grown up and straight (strange considering perms were all the go at the time!).

I had a long bob for several years with a fringe that I combed and combed to be rid of my curls. I know, how strange to hate curls so much, I think I just wanted to fit in with the other girls at school. I slowly grew my hair out and and by the time I was in senior school, I used to use my GHD's and curl my hair, no one else really curled their hair and I wanted to stand out. Complete U turn! From hating curls to having them back again.

I only started to colour my hair in college. My hair is naturally mousey blonde but it lightens in the summer and darkens in the winter months. I used to feel dull in winter so decided to get highlights. Initially I enjoyed the highlighted with roots look.

I became somewhat obsessed with trying to coax my hair to grow and went threw a phase of plaiting my hair and avoiding bobbles. I'd deep condition and wear my hair wavy. I think it was the best condition my hair had ever been in at this point, I cared for it tenderly.

My hair eventually with highlight on top of highlight became a one tone blonde.

out came the extensions and now I'm slowly in the process of finding my natural colour. growing out bleached damaged bits. My hair sits just on my collar bone. It has done through and since pregnancy. I have a deepish root and very bleached ends. I'm not using heat or styling tools. My hair is growing really well and is starting to improve. After years of punishment it needs a rest. If you see me today its either down and unruly or on a night out its trussed up in a bun (to avoid heat and hide root).

I think that a colour and hairstyle can change your appearance and the way you feel about yourself in an instant. Its really lovely to experiment and I think you can define yourself with a style. I think in the future ill be more natural, maybe re embrace my natural curl. Why not?

Today's post is about a little something that I added to my hair care collection a while ago. If you have read my previous posts, you may know I've been trying my best to improve the strength and overall quality of my hair since I've had my baby. I've used everything from Supplements to Shampoo's and Conditioners. After finding that I really liked Moroccan oil Shampoo and conditioner, I decided to try more from their range.

I purchased the Moroccanoil from feelunique.com and it was £12.85 for 25 ml. To me that's a touch on the expensive side compared to other brands out there at the minute. In this case, however, you do get what you pay for. I'm more than confident that you have read a million and one blog posts about this cult product and its hyped with good reason.

The Bottle itself is just beautiful, it looks fit for a Queen. I adore the "Seal of Originality", for any of you that don't know, Moroccanoil have basically rejuvenated and revolutionised hair care with their innovative oils. Hundred's of brands have jumped on the band wagon and released their own version of "Argan Oil". How proud Moroccan oil must be to be able to show that seal and take credit for such a huge hype in the hair care and beauty industry. Well done guys!

The oil is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! no longer does hair oil mean greasy, heavy or slick, In this day and age a good oil suggest healthy hair full of vitality. I use this on a morning to smooth down any flyaway's and my hair looks glossy and neat for the rest of the day. The treatment is a nice consistency so it allows you to distribute it really well through the lengths and ends of your hair. I've found that my hair has stopped snapping as much and is much more manageable. My hair feels a lot less course and is a lot softer to touch. With regular use this product help's encourage hair growth. My hair has grown a cm in about a month and a half which is a lot for me.

The product does go quite far, unfortunately, I have really thick really dry hair so my locks literally drank a bottle of this in just one month. If you have normal, undamaged hair, it I would say you'd get a few months out of a bottle this size. I'm finding I'm not using as much as my hair improves. The picture above shows how much I use at a time.

This will be on my repurchase hit list. Anyone else love the oil?

Much Love
For those of you who follow me on Twitter, you may already know, I was witness to the aftermath of a very tragic road incident where, to now, two have passed away. I know this isn't the nicest thing to be reading on a blog post BUT, I do hope that if anything, it will encourage all of my readers to be super mindful of other road users, wear seat belts and above all stick to speed limits. My heart felt condolences do reach out to all of the families involved and I pray for those still fighting on. You don't know what is around the corner so live every day as if it's you'r last, tell people you care for them, smile laugh and do what makes you happy.

On that note, I stumbled across these glosses in Superdrug and was more than happy to have found them. They are made by MUA. I know MUA is seen as one of the less expensive, less glossy dupe brands but they do make some good quality products. As an avid blog reader I know that there are some bloggers out there who wouldn't feature this brand. BOO! If you ask me, High end, Mid range or Dirty cheap, If the product works well with your skin, Does its job and does it well Who cares about the brand or the price tag. Lets all say bye- bye to brand snobbery and use a combination!

These are the shades I bought, from L-R,
*Kiss and Tell
*Quick Kiss
*Lips Are Sealed
*Sweet Nothings

They are all really boringly packaged . They remind me of those free glosses that I used to get as Freebies from Mizz Magazine as a girl. I'm really not keen on the glitter kiss at the tops of the tubes as it makes the glosses look cheap and childish. That said, these glosses cost just £2.00 so they are cheap and would probably appeal to younger girls too who are discovering beauty on a pocket money budget.

The Saving grace of these glosses are they are really not bad quality. The Doe Foot applicators work as well as you'd like and need. The colours are well pigmented, they have the right consistency and don't smell foul. The longevity isn't the best in the world but I find that's the case with all glosses. Nothing a quick re application won't fix. As far as value goes, if you want a cheap gloss, don't mind packaging and a touch up, these are brilliant.

Not my favourite gloss but I will use them non the less.

Has anyone else noticed brand snobbery? Any brand you wouldn't use? What about the glosses? do you use them?

Much Love
I'm sure I was destined to be a mermaid one day, I spend all the free time I have relaxing in the tub. My favourite pass time seems to have been inherited by my son too, only he's not one for relaxing, he'd much prefer the fun of making waves, splashing and playing with bubbles. It was inevitable that when I passed a lush shop, that I was going to treat us both.
I'm such a sucker for a bath bomb, who doesn't like a explosion of pretty coloured girly scented amazing-ness in their bath? (I know amazing-ness isn't a word, but it should be!). I very much doubt my better half would be happy about me putting our son in a pink girly bath (not matcho enough for our Tommy), so I chose him a very boyish Ickle baby bot, Its a baby blue coloured robot and I was told It was soothing and calming for baby. It contain sleep-inducing oils, but everything has been selected to be mild, gentle and soothing for skin and any itchy bits. Smells nice too. It cost £1.90 which is really reasonable its also available here on line. You could snap it in pieces and get more uses out of it. My little boy was in a fit of giggles when I dropped this in the bath, he couldn't take his eyes off it, It lasted a good while but not nearly long enough as the little fella got a bit upset when there was no bomb left. Now he knows how mummy feels when her bomb runs out. BOO...
That brings me nicely to my bath bomb Space Girl. It was the first time I used this specific bath bomb and although I did like it, I won't be buying it again. It smells lovely, the ingredients list is attractive, its a nice purple colour and has glitter bits but it just wasn't me. It reminded me too much of Radox. I do however, adore the shape of the bomb and it lasts a good while. It was £2.10 so very fair priced and is available on line here. I don't think you could cut this product in half for more uses and to be honest, its not sizeable enough to warrant it. If you love Radox and Purple, this bomb will be just right for you. I like my Radox to smell of Radox and my bath bomb to smell, well, Different.
I've got a wedding to attend in August and I'm starting to think about outfits and what I will be wearing on my face. I'm far from having perfect skin and a flawless complexion is a big deal these days, don't you think? For me it's really important to have long wearing make up especially on big occasions. Anyway, I decided to find a primer to help with just that. I'd like to introduce you all to my Boots No7 Airbrush Away Primer.

No7 primer claims to be innovative the first of its kind, reducing the appearance of all the signs of ageing instantly. The unique complex combines filling properties with light-diffusing particles to smooth fine lines and wrinkles and put uneven skin tone and pores into soft focus. Proven results can be seen in just ten minutes and last for up to eight hours.

No7 Airbrush Away primer is designed to work perfectly with all foundations and moisturisers. Airbrush Away has a silicon base which provides an elegant texture, aids the optical effect and has been shown to be compatible with all foundations and moisturisers.

Sounds amazing doesn't it? The only thing that I was a tad wary of was it's suitability for normal to oily skin. My skin can be dry, oily, normal and some days it likes to be all three combinations at once. I found this primer to be very nourishing without being greasy, so it works well with all skin types. It really clings to the face regardless of its condition.

I wear my primer under foundation and It sits really well with all foundations, I love using this with my Chanel Vitalumier, Quite simply because the two products are creamy and moisturising. I always get really nice results.

This product does help your make up stay in place and improves the longevity of pretty much all products. Applied well and evenly, the overall appearance of the skin is improved even without any cosmetics. Skin looks brighter and more youthful. Pores look less visible and lines are "filled". It does what it says on the tin.

The product smells plain, which is nice. The packaging is quite plain too which isn't so nice. I think the white bottle is very boring, although it looks clean, it doesn't capture the eye. The consistency of the product itself is good, as you'd expect a primer to be.

The only real issue I have with this product is it's price. It retails in Boots for £19.50, so it is on the higher end of the pricing scale. In my eyes its not the best value for money, It's a 30 ml tube so you don't get a great deal of product for your money.

If you don't have a primer, invest in one! Me personally, as much as I love this primer, I wont be paying just short of £20.00 for it in the future. I will enjoy using it don't get me wrong, and I'd recommend it to anyone who needs something that works without the fuss of shopping around, but I'm sure I can find a brand that delivers just as much at a snip of the cost. It will be on my wedding wear list for now.

Any cheaper recommendations anyone? Do you wear primer?

Much love
Amy
xoxo
Hope life is treating you well. I'd like to introduce you all to a beloved friend of mine Posie Tint from Benefit. I was talked into buying this at a make up counter and boy am I glad I was. I was very reluctant to use it at first as the thought of "staining" your face sounded too risky.

With a little bit of precision and a careful hand (or brush) this product applies amazingly well (especially as its dual purpose, for lips and the cheek). I use it with the applicator it comes with and swoop it across my cheek bone and give it a rub and its perfect blush, it works well with the Real Techniques Stippling Brush too. What I love about this product is its so universal, it applies to the lips for a natural glow too. The applicator it comes with is great for the cupids bow, or I sometimes transfer the product onto a Real Techniques lip brush for high definition results. I have used specialist lip tints before such as MUA Kiss Proof Lip Stain and I do prefer the build-able colour results Posie Tint achieves. You could apply a slick of clear gloss over the top for a transition for day time to night time. As for the cheek, it doesn't look powdery or fake like some multi purpose cheek products do.

The packaging is really pretty. Its very much like a models own nail varnish in size. The cap secures really well so there are no leaks or spills. I adore the pink shiny base. Isn't it cute?

I did nearly run a mile when I realised how PINK the contents were but, don't be conned into thinking at your face will end up that colour. The product blends to leave a nice "pinched cheek" shade. As a girl I was always told blusher should look like I've just stepped into the heat from a cold winters day and this is the result I get with this product. Lovely thick, creamy consistency. Soft to the touch.

Posie Tint lasts FOREVER. I have had this bottle for over 6 months now and I still have half a bottle. Available to buy from Boots at £24 for 50 ml its brilliant value for money.

Personally I find this a must have in any make- up bag. Brilliant for travel. The longevity and staying power of this cosmetic are amazing, It can last into the next day unless you use a good make up remover. It does remove with ease if you use a good make up remover. Soap and water will budge it but it would take a lot of washing. Holiday planned? going to be in the sea? pool? This is for you.

The only fault I can find with this are its quite quick drying, so once it touches the skin, you've got to get it blended quickly (especially on the cheek), otherwise you could end up blotchy/ streaky. If you needed a fake cheek look for Halloween or a children's party, this product makes that infamous perfect circular clown cheek but only if you leave it to dry in the place you put it and don't blend. Not what you might want to hear on a make up review BUT as long as you tailor the way your using the product it will meet your every need.

Anyone else use this? Do you love it too?

Much Love
Amy
Just thought I'd share the three new shades of nail varnish I've added to my collection. I think they are really summery and girly.

I'm happy with the way the varnishes apply (definitely need two coats) and really love the finish, (sorry about lack of pictures I only painted one nail in each colour). The only thing I'm not too impressed with is the copy cat packaging. Then again, we all know and love MUA for bringing cheaper versions of new high(er) end brand releases.
These were a snip at £1.00 each from Superdrug. I bought from L-R,Strawberry Crush, Bold Blue & Frozen Yoghurt.

What do you think of these varnishes? what about the copycat bottles?
Much Love
I thought that I'd share my new favourite body treat with you. It's The Body Shop's Wild Cherry Body Butter.

I've not used a Body Shop product in years so on the spur of the moment last week I decided to see if I could re kindle my old romance. My romance with The Body Shop stemmed from childhood, I used to go to Body Shop party's with my mum and she always used to buy me play soap. Unfortunately they stopped making it (Please Body Shop, bring it back, I know my little boy would love it!).

I love fruity products and things that smell sweet so this really jumped out at me. Nice and summery looking and I do adore cherries. This cost me £4.00 in store for 50 g which is really reasonable. I was very disappointed to find it cheaper on line, but, unless I spent more than £20.00 it would have cost more due to p&p. I'm always a bit miffed to find in store and on line prices vary. It should be the same either way, some people can't physically get to shops or use a computer.

That aside, the product is beautiful. The severity of the scent is just right, not too weak not too over bearing. It smells just like the tub would suggest, of cherries, almost good enough to eat.The consistency of the butter cream is as a body butter should be, thick and creamy and it melts onto the skin really well. It does make your skin feel instantly soft and its not sticky.

I do suffer from dry patches of skin on my arms (since pregnancy, oh the joys of babies no one tells us about!) and since using this not only has the dryness gone but the overall texture of my skin has improved.
Thanks for stopping by. Today's post is about my ELF bronzer. With the odd flashes of sun we are blessed with every now and then, It's nice to have golden godess skin.

I purchased this bronzer a while back from the ELF website for the tiny price of just £1.50, I didn't expect it to be up to much and I intended on popping it in the little make up bag that I use for out and about. Yes, it might sound strange that I have a out and about cheaper bag, BUT, I have lost my make up bag when travelling in the past before. If you tot up how much moneys worth of product is in your kit, you can imagine how much it cost me to replace. £1.50 isn't something you'd cry about if you left it in a taxi, on a bus or airport.

I was pleasantly surprised by this bronzer. It isn't the type of bronzer I usually go for, I love Matte as opposed to anything with a shimmer. I do make the exception with this bronzer, when applied lightly and carefully this bronzer's shimmer is fantastic at contouring cheek bones and adding definition to eye/ brow bones and jaw lines. Its very highlighting. As the name Luminance would suggest, it illuminates the areas where you want definition.

The packaging is very basic, it doesn't look unsightly but it isn't the prettiest of pots. It has a good longevity when used with a good primer. It doesn't crumble easily when transferring to a brush so it doesn't leave you feeling patchy when applied. Its very easy to apply I use my Real Techniques Blush Brush and always get flawless results. If you love shimmer this will be perfect for you, if not, give it ago as a highlighter teamed with your usual bronzer.

For the price tag, its worth a try. Anyone else use this or one of the other shades?

Much Love
Iv'e acquired a good few samples over recent months and I decided to dive into them and see if I could find a skin saviour as my face has been looking a little dull. I stumbled across SK-II skin signature Anti Ageing cream and thought I'd try it. It wasn't for the purpose I wanted, but, most creams are multi purpose these days so it might brighten me up a little. And boy did I need brightening after a few restless nights with a teething baby boy.

Isn't this packaging really pretty? I heart all things red, its one of my favourite colours. Cute and compact. The Full size product appears to be a larger version of this. The cream had a little cover inside to seal and maintain freshness, I did think that was a nice touch as once a product is open it starts to expire and there's nothing worse than someone opening a product in a store and it becoming grubby/ separating or not working correctly just a few weeks after purchase.

I'd never heard of SK-II before I received this sample so naturally, I dug a little deeper and "googled" the brand. First impressions on what I found were WOW, WHAT A PRICE TAG. This cream is currently retailing for £127.75 (on offer!!) at Harrods. It seems ridiculous that a 50g cream would sell for so much. For that amount of money, I really would expect the Peter Pan effect. In fact, I'd want to look more youthful than ever.

The more i researched the more intrigued i became by the history of this product. Around 30 years ago, a scientist realised that a group of workers at a Japanese saké brewery had incredibly beautiful and young looking hands. This discovery launched them into 5 years of intense research into different types of yeast and environments for fermentation. This eventually resulted in the discovery of SK-II’s signature ingredient, Pitera. Pitera is a blend of vitamins, amino acids, minerals and organic acids. Pitera Helps brighten skin tone (Happy days, just what I wanted!), helps moderate the skins renewal cycle, replenishes moisture, improves skin texture and absorbs really quickly. Sounds amazing doesn't it? The Cream itself is a lovely rich consistency, it feels light and fluffy on the skin and it soaks in exceptionally well. Just a tiny amount goes a long way. So despite the price tag, a jar of this has the potential to last a good year. I dare say lots of us will unconsciously spend that on moisturisers, day and anti ageing creams over the duration of a year. Value for money? Expensive but you get what you pay for. After Just one week of using this cream my skin feels rejuvenated. My dark circles have improved (nothing will completely shift these bags), My skin doesn't feel tight, I'm less lumpy bumpy and my visible ores look a tad smaller. I'm head over heels in lust for this cream. My skin hasn't felt this healthy or looked this clean in a long time. I tend to break out when I chop and change creams and I haven't even had a glimpse of a pimple. Amazing right? I will put this on a wish list but if I don't stumble across another sample or find someone generous enough to spoil me, I won't be buying a full size tub. I do love it and I would make it my every day cream if I could, BUT I don't have a money tree and with a new baby, I'd prefer to find a cheaper alternative and spend my money taking him out and spoiling him. If you have the cash or really want to try this, give it a go, pop it on a Christmas list. It is worth every penny.

Anyone else tried this? What are your thoughts? Do you have a anti ageing or day cream that your in love with? Get in touch I love to Hear from you. Much LoveAmy xoxo
I've had a bit of a love affair with lip products for a good few weeks now and whilst shopping today I couldn't resist picking up these three Lovelies.

It was the applicator that drew me to these specific lip stains, it reminds me of a felt tip pen and makes me reminisce of old school days. Isn't it funny how something none related can help bring back memories?

I really like that the colour of the casing on each product reflects the colour of the lip stain inside. Handy. The product is amazingly easy to apply as the tip allows for detail and precision. There's nothing worse than stain smudging as it can be super hard to budge without ruining your other make up.

I was rather disappointed at the range of shades available, there are currently just three, I would have liked to have seen a plum and red too. The three shades that are available are Frutilicious, Kissalicious and Fabulicious.

When applied these stains do give an instant burst of matte colour. Disappointingly I don't feel that they would be strong enough to suit some skin tones but again maybe if they introduced some darker colours? If you don't suit pales don't bother. If you are a fan of subtle and love just a touch of colour these would be perfect. I'm naturally fair so they work well for me. The lip stains are fairly well pigmented. They aren't as build-able as other stain products like Benefit's Benetint BUT these aren't designed to be multi purpose like Benefit's products so for the lip, they give the shade you expect with good coverage. I'd say that Fabulicious has pinky undertones, Fruitilicious has red and Kissalicious more of a purple tone.

As far as Longevity goes, these tints do stay on longer than a lipstick or gloss would, but as you'd expect, they don't give that opaque lipstick look. The tinted colour remains after food and drink but if you like to look like your freshly made up, you may want to re apply mid day. I'd definitely say that these tints are for natural look lovers or for using at the beach where heavy lips are a no go. As much as I feel these tints have a well deserved place in my make up drawers, I think personally I'd sway towards something a little stronger looking.

As far as value for money goes, they cost me £3.00 each in Superdrug. You really can't grumble for that price. They might not be in my everyday essentials, but they will be perfect for when I'm looking for something subtle.

Anyone else tried these? What's your opinion? I think I prefer Benefits Benetint, What's your opinion?

Much Love
Amy
